Fred Holmlund Trio

Fred Holmlund Trio is the result of the guitarist and diploma student’s Fred Homlund’s ambition to widen his musical perception through cross-genre collaborations. The guitar is at the heart of it all, but through the bassist Josef Einarsson’s jazz influences and the percussionist Isidor Abdelkaders folk music background, the trio creates a unique mix of musical influences. Brazilian repertoire is combined with classical music, pop and jazz, which offers the audience a vast and rare concert experience.


Johanna Sjunnesson

The cellist Johanna Sjunnesson creates music in the space between acoustic and electronic sounds. With a highly personal expression, she extracts material from Baroque composers such as Bach, Purcell, Dowland and Vivaldi and places them in original settings, creating a union of musical influences in the growing genre of post classical music, where she is one of the Sweden’s most influential figures. Johanna has created music both for radio and TV and is also a member of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Messiaen Quartet Copenhagen

Messiaen Quartet Copenhagen is a young chamber music ensemble consisting of four experienced solo- and chamber musicians: violinist Malin William-Olsson (SE), cellist Carl-Oscar Østerlind (DK), pianist Kristoffer Hyldig (DK) and clarinetist Viktor Wennesz (SE). Besides their in-depth knowledge of the existing repertoire for their unusual setting, MQC explores the entire classical repertoire and prepares programs spanning all musical eras. Furthermore, the ensemble takes great pride in commissioning and performing original works of Nordic contemporary composers.

Åkervinda

TUESDAY DECEMBER 6TH  8 PM I GRAND MALMÖ

Åkervinda is an award-winning vocal quartet, whom through their TV debut in Allsång på Skansen 2019 has been celebrated world wide thanks to their unique sound and stage presence. Åkervinda released their debut album “Kära mor” in 2014, and 2018 their second album “Förgänglighet” was released and nominated for a Grammis in the category of the year’s folk music album. Together the four singers picks up traditional folk melodies and creates new, enticing arrangements where traditional songs are intertwined with improvisational elements and jazz influences.
